The Air Max 90 Turns 30, celebrated with a modern recraft

The cult-classic sneaker reinvented!

By Jess Arrowsmith • 7 months ago • SHOP, STYLE

Designed in 1990 by Tinker Hatfield – and what was originally released as the Air Max III – the Air Max 90 had a bigger Air unit than its predecessor, along with a number of other attractive features including improved flexibility and a variable, multi-port lacing system that allowed more fit options.

With the shoe taking the scene by storm, by 2000 it was dubbed a cult-classic sneaker.

30 years later and with a legacy worth celebrating in 2020, the Air Max 90 has been recrafted. Inspired by the shoe’s original colour blockings, the rendition gives you that classic ‘90s look in all the right ways.
