Jess Sepel’s 5-Ingredient Chocolate Truffles recipe

When it comes to whipping up a deliciously healthy treat, there’s nothing more daunting than an extensive ingredient list. That’s why we asked clinical nutritionist Jess Sepel for an easy, yummy & ultra healthy treat to get us through the work week, guilt free.
 
Below, Jess shares her 5-Ingredient Chocolate Truffles, made to tackle the 3pm crash and give you a boost of the deliciously healthy energy you need. Warning: one is never, ever enough.
 

5-Ingredient Chocolate Truffles

MAKES 14-16 | PREP 15

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Medjool dates, pitted
  • ⅓ cup raw cacao powder
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch sea salt
  • extra cacao powder, for rolling (optional)
  • finely chopped peanuts, for rolling (optional)

 

Directions  

  1. Place the dates, cacao powder, coconut oil, cinnamon and sea salt in the bowl of a food processor and blitz until the mixture comes together.
  2. Transfer the dough to a bowl and place in the fridge to set for 20 minutes.
  3. Remove the dough from the fridge and using your hands, roll the mixture into small balls. Roll the balls in extra cacao powder or chopped peanuts, if using.
  4. Keep stored in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

TIP: Store in a fridge or freezer.
