How to achieve that ‘post-workout’ glow, according to a M.A.C artist

“Glowy, dewy skin can be achieved on all skin types whether you’re dry, dehydrated, or oily,” says Carol Mackie, M.A.C Senior Artist. “It’s just a question of what goes on prior to adjust the natural skin’s texture, in preparation for foundation.”

First up, what is one mistake people usually make when trying to achieve “that post-workout” glow?

Skin looking over shiny and just sweaty! It’s easily rectified by blotting excess shine under the eyes, around the nose and on the forehead by applying Mineralize Skinfinish Powder with a small fluffy brush such as #224.

What are some products you’d recommend in order to achieve this look for different skin types? 

DRY SKIN

You’ll need:

Recommended foundations: Face and Body Foundation or Mineralize Moisture Foundation

OILY SKIN

You’ll need:

Recommended foundation: Studio Fix Fluid with a little Strobe cream mixed in. You can also lightly tap strobe on top of cheek bones to highlight.

COMBINATION SKIN

You’ll need:

Recommended foundation: Studio Waterweight Foundation
