A tie, a shirt, a pair of socks, aftershave… when you think Father’s Day – these are generally the first items that come to mind. And whether you’re shopping for your own dad, granddad, hubby or other important father-figure in your life, a unique gift can be hard to come by.

This year, however, we might have just come across the most thoughtful pressie ever for daddy and daughter. The best part? They get to experience it together.

Read on as we chat to Leigh Dole, Director of Blow Bar Co about what the ‘Daddy Daughter Date Package’ entails and why it can even save you a little extra time in the mornings…

Take us through the Daddy Daughter Date package. What exactly can people expect?

The Daddy Daughter Date package is one hour of non-stop fun (and learning!) for dad and his daughter. No matter their skill level, the session will include a one-on-one tutorial covering a range of different aspects – from combing and plaiting to braiding and even tips on how to create the all-important ponytail. During the session dad can enjoy a beer whilst the girls will enjoy a cupcake. The class has all strands and styles covered!

What was the inspiration behind this special initiative?

Over the last two years, we have had countless men drop in to Blow Bar Co, seeking advice on how to do their daughter’s hair. The inspiration behind launching the Daddy Daughter Date at Blow Bar Co. is two-fold:

Firstly, as a mother myself, I feel little girls should have the opportunity to feel pampered – and this package does just that by giving girls the opportunity to have their hair done and enjoy a cupcake.

And most importantly, the evening provides a unique opportunity to connect dads with their daughters in a fun environment… and not to mention they will also be able to create the perfect ponytail that all their daughters’ friends will be envious of!

What do you hope your clients will get out of the session?

I believe the father and daughter bond is so important – it’s a relationship I truly cherish with my dad and I feel this is the perfect opportunity to build on that bond and create a fun experience for fathers to do with their daughters.
